Hey Everyone
As a special treat for everyone who actually checks the forum, I want to do a special game announcement you will see here first.
---
VRO was the most anticipated game of the season. A virtual reality MMO where it feels like you are living your characters life. A game where every move and action is directed by your nervous system and the special immersion equipment required to play. You swing the sword, you cast the spell, you defeat the monster! Best of all time moves faster in the game then in real life, meaning you can complete a long raid with only an hour passing in real life. It was going to be amazing...
And then you logged into the game and learned it was trap! It's impossible to log out and the insane programmer who trapped you made sure to post his rules everywhere.
The first few days were pure chaos. Confusion, fear, and panic spread like wildfire. The first Player Vs Player murders happened within minutes and, as far as you can tell, haven't stopped. The major cities and other non-pvp zones became safe havens but mistrust is still high as anyone who isn't in your guild is a potential enemy.
Outside the safe zones an arms race is happening, as guilds brave the dangers of the game to level up and gain better gear. Some want to hide in the safe zones and wait for the police to figure a way out. It seems like a good plan until you remember that time moves faster in game then in real life.
It's been several days in game but it's probably only a couple of hours outside. Even if it only takes a day for the police to save everyone that still means a month playing by the games rules...
-------
That's right, its a Trapped-In-A-Game tabletop rpg! It's in early playtesting right now but so far it's really interesting and I'm very excited about it. Hopefully it will be ready for kickstarter late next year.
Earn loot, form a guild, manage your cool downs, discover the secrets of the game, and try not to die in your virtual prison. Will you survive until you are rescued, or will you be the top guild and earn your way out.
